"I was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and moved to Arizona when my father retired from the Navy. I received my degree at ASU in fine art/art education. After apprenticing for two years in intaglio with master printer Andrew Rush I ran Rural Arts Project, a fine arts serigraph printshop for non-profits in Pinal County. After I moved back to the valley I joined MARS Artspace, for a 16 year membership as an exhibiting artist that included five years as President and curator. I have received numerous awards and have exhibited in diverse group shows nationally including The Ohr-Okeefe museum, In Time Art Salon, D.C., The Parthenon in Tennessee, University of Southern Mississippi, Gammage Auditorium, and Shemer. I have exhibited with Art One since 1999.
"After coming full circle through all kinds of cultures and influences, my art and I have returned to the era that has always meant the most to me: The 1950s. An era of flying saucers, drive-ins, Doo-Wop, scientific breakthroughs, and a sense that anything -- and I mean anything -- could happen."
