Born in North Carolina, Neil Myers’ mother was influenced by his mother, an accomplished painter. In college, he got to spend an interesting semester abroad France, where he studied French language, literature and art. In France, Neil visited many famous painting sites of Cezanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh, which impressed him indelibly.

In 2003, Neil and his wife explored the American Southwest, where he found himself drawn to New Mexican and Arizonan vistas that he interprets in his neo-Fauvist style. Little wonder that some of his favorite subjects are the mighty saguaros, old missions, the stunning red rocks of Sedona and magnificent views of the Grand Canyon.
