Katie J. Liddiard was born in Northern Utah. From a young age she proved her love for drawing and painting and knew that she wanted to be an artist when she grew up. In college, she discovered that art academies around the world taught a traditional curriculum for developing artists and moved to Italy to study at the Florence Academy of Art.

She now lives and works out of her home studio in Provo and has a small group of artists who study under her while offering a few workshops throughout the year.
